Thanks for posting, Kal! I've had good experiences staying in Radisson Blu hotels in Eastern Europe, and so this is a good sale to know about! Newscience

Cool. Missed out on the Daily Getaways yesterday.

As usual, it is a Points.com purchase and not a Club Carlson purchase, so no bonus points.

Have to admit that I don't understand what it means to be a points.com purchase. Will Club Carlson honor it?

BlondeBrunette, For those people with the Club Carlson Visa, they get more points for purchasing anything from Club Carlson, but since they have you buy these points thru points.com, it doesn't count as 10 points per $1 spent. And yes, Club Carlson honors these points...

    • 10 points per $1 spent in eligible net purchases at participating Carlson Rezidor hotels worldwide1

So does this mean that the next CC devaluation is around the corner?

for those staying outside of US and who don't have access to the CC Visa (like me:(), this sale is less attractive and really makes sense for 50K point Cat 6 or 70K Cat 7 properties, for those without any particular stay plans, i found awardmapper really useful in filtering out the Cat 6 and Cat 7 hotels to make an educated decision if it's worth purchasing:rolleyes:

Devaluation is possible but won't necessarily happen soon as this particular program just got devalued 3 months ago: http://boardingarea.com/loyaltytrav...-devalues-march-15-2014/#sthash.PDEvv8XF.dpbs
Report from @Lucky states that earning 10 points by using the Club Carlson affiliated credit card might be possible: http://boardingarea.com/onemileatat...club-carlson-75-points-bonus-flash-sale-live/

You won't get 2 points per $ spent on this purchase using Chase Sapphire. I already bought using a different card ... you have until 11:59AM EST to make your purchase! :)

I like Radisson Blu in general but you pay a steep price to earn their points and they do not go all that far

outside the USA it is almost always possible to book Carlson hotels for considerably less using hotelscombined or kayak or ........... but usually no points are earned for your stay

difficult for me to get excited about any Carlson offers

If you have the Club Carlson Visa Signature Card, the last night of every award redemption of at least two nights stay is free. For example, if staying at Park Inn Budapest, you could redeem the 70,000 points for almost 4 sets of two night stays.

Likewise, no credit card where i live, so passed on this as not many Cat 6 and 7 hotels in Asia and future travel plans aren't firmed up..if it were 100% bonus, i'd condider it

I found out by a post of CC on twitter, managed to score 35K points. Will most probably use it to redeem for a stay in Amsterdam later this year.

Now that would be nice! But aren't we limited to a maximum of 40K points on an annual basis including bonuses (like 75% extra points)?

IIRC the limit is 40K per year not counting bonuses! So we can buy 70K for $280 at a Flash Sale--but only once per calendar year! So anyone who has bought in last month's FS must wait till 2015.
