Fox News’ Worst-Rated Show Just Delivered Brutal Punishment to CNN

Of the three major cable news networks, Fox News Channel obviously leans to the right but provides fairly balanced coverage of the news of the day. MSNBC, meanwhile, openly presents itself as left-leaning and provides equally left-leaning news coverage to their liberal viewers.

CNN, however, has attempted to portray itself as unbiased and centrist as a media organization, but its news coverage quite obviously skews toward the left. It appears a significant number of viewers have taken notice and are no longer watching based on recent ratings numbers, according to Breitbart.

In fact, the highest-rated primetime program on CNN fell short of the lowest-rated primetime program on FNC, and even lost to a handful of Fox’s afternoon and morning programs.

Those dismal numbers for CNN were revealed in Adweek‘s report of the ratings by Nielsen Media Research for the month of April, numbers that have Fox and MSNBC cheering while CNN looks on from afar.

The best-rated weeknight show for CNN — “Anderson Cooper 360” — placed a distant 24th on the list of most-watched cable news programs. Meanwhile, the lowest-rated Fox News program in the evenings was “Fox News at Night with Shannon Bream,” which came in at 13th on the list.

Much to the dismay of liberals, Fox’s Sean Hannity came in at No. 1 in both total viewers and among the coveted advertising demographic of adults aged 25-54.

Hannity was followed by MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow in both categories, and the top five in total viewers was rounded out by Fox’s Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham, and MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell. Carlson and Ingraham swapped spots in the top five among the key demo.

Spots six through 10 for total viewers were filled respectively by Fox’s “Special Report with Bret Baier,” “The Five,” “The Story with Martha MacCallum,” MSNBC’s “All In with Chris Hayes” and “Hardball with Chris Matthews.”

Hilariously, morning programs for Fox like “America’s Newsroom” (12th), “Fox and Friends” (14th), “Outnumbered” (16th) and “Happening Now” (18th) all beat CNN’s top-rated show.

Even mid-afternoon Fox programming like “Your World with Neil Cavuto” (17th), “Shepard Smith Reporting” (20th), “Outnumbered Overtime” (22nd) and “Daily Briefing with Dana Perino” (23rd) ranked higher in total viewers than Cooper’s program on CNN.

Following Cooper for the most-watched CNN programs at all times of the day within the top 40 were “Erin Burnett Out Front” (27th) and “CNN Tonight” (28th), along with “The Lead with Jake Tapper” (32nd), “Situation Room” (33rd), “CNN Newsroom” (37), “Wolf” (38th), “Inside Politics” (39th) and “At This Hour” (40).

The only Fox News Channel program that CNN beat in terms of total viewers was “Fox and Friends First,” which ranked 42nd on the list — and airs at 4 a.m. Eastern!

The only saving grace among this horrible news for CNN is that they did slightly better among the key 25-54 demo than among total viewers, as Cooper’s show ranked 12th, though he still lost out to Bream’s program — which airs late at 11 p.m. Eastern — which came in at 11th on the list among the demo coveted by advertisers.

In Nielsen’s tally of viewership of all cable networks, not just cable news channels, Fox still emerged as the most-watched cable channel both in primetime and the daytime.

Turner Network Television, which has been airing NBA playoff games since mid April, came in second for total primetime viewers, followed closely by MSNBC in third place. CNN ranked eighth in total primetime viewers for the month, losing out to cable networks such as TBS, HGTV, ESPN and the USA Network.

So perhaps this should be a lesson to any network that purports to be unbiased in its coverage, but is blatantly left-leaning and caters exclusively to liberal Trump-haters with its news coverage. It quickly becomes irrelevant and loses out “bigly” to its competition.

Disturbing Message About Hillary’s Server Found in FBI Office Storing It

For Americans suspicious of Hillary Clinton and her supporters hidden in the federal government, WikiLeaks is the gift that keeps on giving.

During the 2016 presidential campaign, it was the slow drip of revelations from WikiLeaks that helped doom the Clinton candidacy by exposing its rigging of the Democrat primary process and publicizing the machinations of Clinton campaign manager John Podesta.

Now, WikiLeaks is publicizing revelations about the FBI “investigation” of Clinton’s private email server when she was secretary of state that should be setting off alarm bells all over the country.

Buried in FBI files released under Freedom of Information Act requests is a nugget WikiLeaks posted on Twitter Saturday that makes the entire FBI Clinton probe more than a little suspect.

Nothing to see here, folks, right?

The FBI file’s dry language shouldn’t disguise what happened here.

Essentially, the FBI confiscated the server that housed Clinton’s email operation from Platte River Networks in Denver on Aug. 12, 2015, and took it to the FBI’s Operational Technology Division for storage as item “1B3.”

When an FBI special agent (“SA [blank]” in the file) went to pick up the server on Oct. 20 — more than two months later — he was greeted with the disturbing message that the chain of custody for what could well be the single most important piece of evidence in the investigation had gone missing.

That would be a major problem for any criminal investigation — whether a petty drug offense or a major white-collar embezzlement — but for the FBI’s investigation of Clinton’s potential breaching of national security, it’s mind-boggling. Essentially, it meant the server was officially unaccounted for.

Critics of the FBI on social media reacted with scorn to the news.

To expand further, Hillary's Dell PowerEdge 2900 that the FBI lost chain of custody for was used from Mar 2009 through Jun 30, 2013; almost the entirety of her tenure as Secretary of State.

What an Eff'ing joke. I'm sorry but the FBI simply has no credibility left & I just don't see how they can ever hope to be an agency not under intense scrutiny & suspicion in the future.

The distrust of the FBI in that last tweet is the worst part of the whole Bill and Hillary Clinton effect — which has been to pollute everything the couple has been involved with since at least the late 1980s. Until the Clintons came along, most Americans would give the FBI the benefit of the doubt. With every day that passes bringing new revelations of just how much of a pass Hillary’s campaign got, that trust is getting eroded.

The loss of the chain of custody doesn’t necessarily prove the server itself ever left FBI hands, but it does mean the FBI can’t prove its whereabouts from the time the machinery was supposedly taken into government supervision.

It also raises legitimate suspicions that the server might have been doctored during the time it was supposedly secure, with critical files added, deleted or otherwise modified.

And it basically destroys the server’s usefulness to the prosecution if it were ever needed for a criminal trial.

Of course, the Clinton hacks in the FBI and elsewhere probably never envisioned the former first lady ever facing a criminal trial. Heck, they thought they were helping the first female president of the United States get into office.

But a Republican named Donald Trump got in the way of that and — with the help of WikiLeaks’ drip of revelations during the campaign — stopped Clinton from reaching the Oval Office.

Now, WikiLeaks is still helping Americans understand just how untrustworthy the Hillary operation — and the FBI “investigation” — really was.

It’s the gift that keeps on giving.

Hillary Photo Explodes After Eagle-Eyed Observers Notice Big Problem with Coat

Was Hillary Clinton honest with the American people about her health during the 2016 presidential campaign, or has she been hiding a severe condition all this time?

That’s the question making the rounds among concerned observers after strange photos of Clinton were published online. While walking on a public sidewalk in New York last week, the former secretary of state was seen with an unnatural protrusion under her unseasonably long coat.

Fashion faux pas are not usually that interesting, but Clinton’s appearance was so jarring and puzzling that questions of health were immediately raised.

Is Hillary Clinton wearing a back brace now? Did she hurt herself AGAIN? #HillarysBackBrace

    2:55 PM - May 7, 2018
    Twitter Ads info and privacy

“Is Hillary Clinton wearing a back brace now?” asked Mark Dice on Twitter. “Did she hurt herself again?”

Another pointed out the oddity of Clinton wearing a scarf around her neck and a long coat despite the fact it was 80 degrees at the time she was photographed in New York.

Another wondered if the oddly-shaped object was perhaps a bulletproof vest, but it would be incredibly oversized if true.

According to The Daily Mail, a back brace on the former Democrat candidate would signal yet another injury on a growing list of ailments.

“During public appearances earlier this year, Clinton was spotted wearing a cast after breaking her wrist when she slipped in a hotel bath,” the newspaper reported.

“Clinton also had to wear a surgical boot at various points late last year after she fell down some stairs in her heels and broke her toe,” the Mail continued.

That’s on top of mysterious dizzy spells and falls in public that were waved away as no big deal by her staff when they occurred.

Some critics have questioned the attention and scrutiny focused on Clinton’s health. If she were an ordinary citizen, they might have a point. But Clinton has repeatedly chosen to keep herself in the public spotlight.

In fact, her possible back brace was also noticed Monday during a public speaking event in New Zealand, where it seemed to force her into an unnatural and stiff posture. The point is this: Instead of retreating from the public eye after the election, Clinton has purposely sought it out, which makes observations about her health well within bounds.

It’s worth pointing out that the left repeatedly scolded conservatives for asking questions about the former first lady’s medical problems and her fitness to be president, even before the election. The general theme was that it was a Republican conspiracy and Clinton was in perfect health.

Hillary Clinton - bullet-proof vest or back brace ?

    2:14 AM - May 4, 2018
    Twitter Ads info and privacy

If Clinton and her staff purposely concealed serious medical problems and worsening health in the months leading up to the election, the American people had — and still have — a right to know.

Imagine for a moment that Clinton had won the election and was now dealing with critical issues such as traveling to Asia to firmly negotiate with Kim Jong Un, or making middle-of-the-night decisions about Syrian airstrikes or terrorist attacks.

Instead of being fit and healthy, Clinton looks unable to even get in and out of cars without special assistance.

The candidate herself was the one who raised the question of preparedness in her “3 AM Phone Call” pitch against Barack Obama, but it looks increasingly like she was hiding major physiological issues from voters for years.

If Clinton is facing serious medical issues, we sincerely hope that she recovers soon and is able to spend time with her family and grandchildren for years to come.

However, it would be better if she came clean about the situation and spoke candidly about hiding this from the American people, instead of continuing a charade of being invincible.

Obama Responds to Trump Killing His Iran Deal

On Tuesday, former president Barack Obama , eschewing the time-honored practice of refraining from criticizing his successor (as exemplified by George W. Bush), hastily issued a statement condemning President Trump for quitting the very Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA) that Obama and his administration lied about in order to sell to the American public.

Obama hilariously claimed, “The reality is clear. The JCPOA is working – that is a view shared by our European allies, independent experts, and the current U.S. Secretary of Defense. The JCPOA is in America’s interest – it has significantly rolled back Iran’s nuclear program.”

Obama added that some of the countries of Europe have pusillanimously signed on to the deal in the belief that the Iranians, (who have proven to be liars) can be trusted: “Walking away from the JCPOA turns our back on America’s closest allies, and an agreement that our country’s leading diplomats, scientists, and intelligence professionals negotiated.”

He didn’t mention that even Saudi Arabia and the UAE approved of Trump’s decision, not to mention Israel.

Obama huffed, “Debates in our country should be informed by facts, especially debates that have proven to be divisive. So it’s important to review several facts about the JCPOA.”

Okay, let’s see what he had to offer:

First, the JCPOA was not just an agreement between my Administration and the Iranian government. After years of building an international coalition that could impose crippling sanctions on Iran, we reached the JCPOA together with the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the European Union, Russia, China, and Iran. It is a multilateral arms control deal, unanimously endorsed by a United Nations Security Council Resolution.

Well, there you are, Forget American sovereignty. Long live the international regime! Worth noting: the deal was not between the United States and Iran – it was between Obama and Iran. The US Senate didn’t sign off on the deal, so it wasn’t a treaty. It was merely an Obama administration policy, easily tossed out by the next president.

Second, the JCPOA has worked in rolling back Iran’s nuclear program. For decades, Iran had steadily advanced its nuclear program, approaching the point where they could rapidly produce enough fissile material to build a bomb. The JCPOA put a lid on that breakout capacity. Since the JCPOA was implemented, Iran has destroyed the core of a reactor that could have produced weapons-grade plutonium; removed two-thirds of its centrifuges (over 13,000) and placed them under international monitoring; and eliminated 97 percent of its stockpile of enriched uranium – the raw materials necessary for a bomb. So by any measure, the JCPOA has imposed strict limitations on Iran’s nuclear program and achieved real results.

Really. David Albright, the president and founder of the Institute for Science and International Security, told Bloomberg after Israeli intelligence retrieved a warehouse full of documents related to the Iranian nuclear program, “The most significant thing is that this is a warehoused collection intended to be used later for reconstitution. They could have destroyed these documents. But these were being carefully protected and hidden with the intention to reuse them when they launch their weapons program.” And Iran has already signaled – moments after Trump killed the deal – that they would ramp up their nuclear program faster than before. So much for the notion of a hampered Iranian capacity.

    Back to Obama:

Third, the JCPOA does not rely on trust – it is rooted in the most far-reaching inspections and verification regime ever negotiated in an arms control deal. Iran’s nuclear facilities are strictly monitored. International monitors also have access to Iran’s entire nuclear supply chain, so that we can catch them if they cheat. Without the JCPOA, this monitoring and inspections regime would go away.

If you believe that, there’s this bridge in Brooklyn I can sell you. In October 2017, The Hill reported: “The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) last week admitted an inconvenient truth. The U.N. watchdog, said Yukiya Amano, has proven unable to verify Iran’s compliance with Section T of the 2015 nuclear deal, which prohibits activities that could contribute to the development of a nuclear explosive device.”

Obama again: “Fourth, Iran is complying with the JCPOA. That was not simply the view of my Administration. The United States intelligence community has continued to find that Iran is meeting its responsibilities under the deal, and has reported as much to Congress. So have our closest allies, and the international agency responsible for verifying Iranian compliance – the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).”

This, of course, neglects the crucial problem: the deal itself allows Iran to build ballistic missiles and foster terrorism around the Middle East, even as it socks away the crucial information for building a bomb until the deadline runs.

Fifth, the JCPOA does not expire. The prohibition on Iran ever obtaining a nuclear weapon is permanent. Some of the most important and intrusive inspections codified by the JCPOA are permanent. Even as some of the provisions in the JCPOA do become less strict with time, this won’t happen until ten, fifteen, twenty, or twenty-five years into the deal, so there is little reason to put those restrictions at risk today.

This is simply a lie. The prohibition on Iran obtaining a nuclear weapon ends the day the deal ended. Everyone recognized that, including Iran.

    Then, some blathering:

Finally, the JCPOA was never intended to solve all of our problems with Iran. We were clear-eyed that Iran engages in destabilizing behavior – including support for terrorism, and threats toward Israel and its neighbors. But that’s precisely why it was so important that we prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Every aspect of Iranian behavior that is troubling is far more dangerous if their nuclear program is unconstrained. Our ability to confront Iran’s destabilizing behavior – and to sustain a unity of purpose with our allies – is strengthened with the JCPOA, and weakened without it.

And some unintended hilarity: “We all know the dangers of Iran obtaining a nuclear weapon.”

Well, yes. And just who was it that closed his eyes while Iran was lying all these years?

And the usual pie-in-the sky Obama conclusion: “We have been safer in the years since we achieved the JCPOA, thanks in part to the work of our diplomats, many members of Congress, and our allies.”

U.S. Budget Just Made History: Best Month Ever
    [IMG]

In April, the federal government took in a record sum of $515 billion in taxes, according to a newly released Congressional Budget Office report. During that time, we spent $297 billion. Yes, you read that correctly: We actually took in more than we spent — a lot more. That $218 billion surplus is, in fact, a new record, beating the previous record set back in 2001 ($190 billion) by $28 billion.

As The Washington Times points out, the amount of the surplus surprised CBO analysts, who were predicting about $40 billion less, though some of that has to do with a shift in timing of payments. In its report, the CBO suggests that the unexpectedly high tax revenues was a result of “stronger-than-expected” economic growth last year and in early 2018.

“Those payments were mostly related to economic activity in 2017 and may reflect stronger-than-expected income growth in that year,” reads the summary. “Part of the strength in receipts also may reflect larger-than-anticipated payments for economic activity in 2018. The reasons for the added revenues will be better understood as more detailed information becomes available later this year.”

While the news for April is good, a surplus in April is common and some of the record-setting numbers have to do with “shifts in the timing of certain payments that otherwise would have been due on a weekend,” the CBO notes. We are also still behind for fiscal year 2018.

“The federal budget deficit was $382 billion for the first seven months of fiscal year 2018, the Congressional Budget Office estimates, $37 billion more than the shortfall recorded during the same period last year,” the CBO reports. “Revenues and outlays were higher, by 4 percent and 5 percent, respectively, than they were during the first seven months of fiscal year 2017.”

Here’s the section from the new report summarizing the revenues and outlays from April:

The federal government realized a surplus of $218 billion in April 2018, CBO estimates—$35 billion larger than the surplus in April 2017.

CBO estimates that receipts in April 2018 totaled $515 billion—$59 billion (or 13 percent) more than those in the same month last year. Individual income and payroll taxes rose by $73 billion (or 20 percent), on net. Nonwithheld payments for those taxes, largely final payments of 2017 taxes, rose by $60 billion. Withholding of individual income and payroll taxes rose by $7 billion (or 4 percent). Withheld taxes rose both because wages and salaries were higher and because April 2018 had one more business day than April 2017. However, those factors were partially offset because the share of wages withheld for taxes was lower, CBO estimates, reflecting the new withholding tables issued in January. Corporate income tax payments declined by $14 billion (or 24 percent).

Total spending in April 2018 was $297 billion, CBO estimates—$24 billion more than the sum in April 2017.

The largest changes in outlays were as follows:

    • Net interest on the public debt rose by $6 billion (or 21 percent).
    • Social Security benefits rose by $4 billion (or 5 percent).
    • Spending for military programs of the Department of Defense rose by $4 billion (or 11 percent).
    • Medicaid benefits rose by $3 billion (or 10 percent).
Spending for other programs and activities increased or decreased by smaller amounts.

Steele Dossier: The Biggest Fumble In Politics Became Its Most Successful Play
    By
    Shane Cory
    -
    May 10, 2018
    [IMG]
They were BOTH caught by surprise!
Before Senator John McCain handed the infamous Steele Dossier to then-FBI Director James Comey, a whirlwind of activity occurred by deep-seeded establishment organizations that played out the scenario like a 3D version of chess played in the dark.

Setting the groundwork for you, the Steele dossier is a 17 memo investigation written by Christopher Steele, who is a former British Intelligence official (MI6) who worked the Russia Desk.

Steele, of course didn’t compile the document for fun. He was contracted by a democratic political opposition research firm named Fusion GPS.

Within the document are wild allegations of misconduct by Donald Trump that the media gloats at repeating. These are the allegations of “golden showers” with prostitutes in a suite used by Obama at the Ritz-Carlton in Moscow.

None of the alleged “kompromat” or materiel that could be used to Blackmail Trump has been proven . . . and note that Stormy Daniels was never mentioned in the Steele Dossier.

The dossier established credibility with readers by leading with obvious truths about Russian meddling in American affairs. This includes Putin’s goal of spreading “discord and disunity” in the United States by supporting divisive and anti-establishment candidates.

Anyone who has ever watched RT Television (a Russian government news channel), knew that years ago. RT promotes and gives voice to American politicians who buck the status quo including Ron Paul.

To lock in support for the dossier among democrats, Steele added a section about the DNC email hacks and alleged Russian involvement.

The document was a masterful executed piece of political warfare designed to gain backers among the political elite while providing enough juicy sensation to make it go viral online and within the media.

    It was all by design.

How the Steele dossier made it to the public light is an even more impressive display of political strategy.

The funder of the dossier, Fusion GPS, was ironically originally contracted with a neoconservative political site, the Washington Free Beacon, to dig up dirt on Trump. The neocon publication is backed by billionaire hedge fund manager, Paul Singer, who backed Senator Marco Rubio for president in 2016.

After Trump won the presidential nomination, the Washington Free Beacon, ended its contract with Fusion GPS, that was then picked up by the Democratic National Committee.

The DNC funded the investigation until Trump was elected in November.

But the DNC and the Hillary Campaign never used the dossier. While it could have been a fun “October Surprise” the overconfident candidate never felt the necessity to release the disparaging memos.

That’s when Fusion GPS went rogue and its founder, Glenn Simpson, continued funding for Steele’s investigation then arranged for its release to intelligence and law enforcement agencies . . . via at least Senator John McCain.

The media initially shied away from publishing the investigation which was eventually leaked by Buzzfeed.

That’s when the Deep State coordinated with the establishment media jumped in to do its thing to bring credibility to the investigation. Former NSA, CIA, other intelligence officers with experts and politicians lent their credibility to the Steele Dossier by giving smart sounding quotes regarding the validity of the allegations.

Susan Hennessey, a former NSA attorney said, “My general take is that the intelligence community and law enforcement seem to be taking these claims seriously. That itself is highly significant.”

British reporter Julian Borger explained, “Steele’s reports are being taken seriously after lengthy scrutiny by federal and congressional investigators.”

Senior democrat of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Mark Warner, stated, “little of that dossier has either been proven or conversely, disproven.”

The statements, which are all carefully crafted to give the author distance from the veracity of the document, while still backing it, gave the mainstream media license to publish . . . and it gave law enforcement and Congressional investigators the coverage they needed to publicly pursue the allegations.

    The result?

The rolling Mueller investigation that will likely top the cost of the $47 million Iran-Contra Investigation while undermining President Trump both domestically and abroad.

So far, Mueller has indicted 22 people based upon the greasy spark created by Steele and Fusion GPS.

We can expect far more indictments as Mueller and his taxpayer funded team inch closer to Donald Trump.

Mueller and the Russian investigation aside, the success of the Steele Dossier will guarantee copycats for years to come as well-funded candidates now have the blueprint on how to create and rollout explosive “investigations” that make a massive, lingering impact.

While Hillary Clinton’s failure to release the investigation may now be seen as the biggest fumble in political history, to her credit, she didn’t use it for her political gain, albeit unlikely on moral grounds.

Her fumble was then picked up by the Deep State and they are bashing their way to the end zone with few defenders in their way.

"Now, I can carry a little piece of The Swamp with me everywhere I go..."
President Trump smashed Chuck Schumer yesterday over Schumer’s flip-flop on the Iran Deal.

The Donald tweeted that “Cryin’ Chuck Schumer fought hard against the Bad Iran Deal, even going at it with President Obama, & then Voted AGAINST it! Now he says I should not have terminated the deal – but he doesn’t really believe that!”

Trump also suggested that Schumer had flip-flopped on the Comey firing as well, saying that Schumer “Thought he [Comey] was terrible until I fired him!”

Senator Cryin’ Chuck Schumer fought hard against the Bad Iran Deal, even going at it with President Obama, & then Voted AGAINST it! Now he says I should not have terminated the deal - but he doesn’t really believe that! Same with Comey. Thought he was terrible until I fired him!

Aside from the Comey thing, Trump is right that Schumer flipped on the Iran Deal. In 2015 he issued a lengthy statement congratulating Obummer and John “Swiftboat Traitor” Kerry for their so called “work” on the Iran agreement, but also providing a list of reasons why he couldn’t support it.

Schumer ultimately said that he couldn’t support his pals on the Iran Deal because he believed that “Iran will not change, and under this agreement it will be able to achieve its dual goals of eliminating sanctions while ultimately retaining its nuclear and non-nuclear power.”

Schumer’s surprisingly astute statement continued: “Better to keep U.S. sanctions in place, strengthen them, enforce secondary sanctions on other nations, and pursue the hard-trodden path of diplomacy once more, difficult as it may be.”

That statement was right on the money, and very surprising coming from a hard-bitten Dem like Up-Chuck Schumer.

But of course, like a true swamp-creature, Schumer has turned his back on his words from three years ago. On Wednesday he said that Iran hasn’t violated the agreement and that Trump’s move to pull out could damage our international rep.

It’s worth mentioning that the jury is still out on whether Iran has violated the deal or not. Deal critics like Trump say they have. Deal supporters, like most Democrats, say they haven’t. A decent case could be made for either side of the argument.

Personally I think a deal is a deal, and the minor infractions that deal critics are pointing to should count as real violations. We removed a ton of sanctions from the Iranians. They ought to be toeing the line and making a strenuous effort to play by the rules they agreed to. So far it seems like they’re doing most of what they’re supposed to do, but not all of it.

Obama lovers and Kerry supporters may say “But they’re making an effort! The Iranians have never been dishonest before! They love us now! Give them the benefit of the doubt!” This is a steaming load of horse-batman. The Iranians are not trustworthy, they never have been, and they hate us and everything we stand for.

Iran has been doing shady under-the-table state-sponsored terrorism for decades. They have gotten very good at keeping their illicit acts in the shadows. We should be watching them like hawks; any little sign that they may be cheating on the terms of the deal should be fully investigated.

And yet, Schumer’s Wednesday critique of Trump blamed his actions for making it harder to “go after Hezbollah” (as if pulling economic sanctions from Iran hadn’t already massively empowered their military proxies) and said that pulling out of the Iran Deal would make it “harder to come to a North Korea deal”.

Trump responded with the tweet reproduced above, basically calling Schumer a flip-flopping hypocrite. Which, he absolutely is. Schumer, hilariously, responded by using Melania Trump’s new anti-bullying hashtag: he tweeted “#BeBest” in response to the President’s tweet. (Even I gotta admit that’s pretty funny. Trite, stupid, devoid of any actual meaning, but still. Pretty funny.)

But whether Up-Chuck Schumer feels bullied or not, the truth is plain. He fought against the Iran Deal and admitted it had terrible flaws even before it was put in place. Now he’s jumping on the bash-Trump bandwagon, using the Iran Deal he personally dislikes as a political tool to criticize the President.

This is dishonest, and hypocritical, and foolish, and absolutely par for the course for ol’ Cryin’-and-Lyin’ Chuck. We can only hope that people will see his duplicity and two-facedness for what it is and vote him out when they next get the chance.

After Trump Captured Five ISIS Terrorists – Don Jr. Drops A MOAB On Obama’s Legacy
    [IMG]

It was announced that five of the top leaders of ISIS were captured Thursday just hours after President Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo secured the release of three American hostages held in North Korea.

The five ISIS targets were captured in a joint sting operation carried out by American, Iraqi and Turkish forces.

In response to the announcement, the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr, took direct aim at the actions of the previous administration. Don Jr. began attacked former president Obama’s decision to release five terrorists in exchange for Army deserter Bowe Bergdahl.

Bergdahl deserted his Army post in Afghanistan in 2009. He was captured by the Taliban and held hostage for nearly five years until the Obama administration agreed to trade five high-value Taliban lieutenants, imprisoned at Guantanamo, for him. Bergdahl returned home before eventually being dishonorably discharged.

Don Jr. asked on Twitter if the terrorists caught were the ones Obama traded for Bergdahl.

    Donald Trump Jr.

Wow. I wonder if these are the guys Obama have back in exchange for Bergdahl? The count for the past 12 hours is pretty impressive. 3 captive brought home 5 isis leaders captured. Today is a good day. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/09/world/middleeast/iraq-isis-islamic-state-arrest.html …

Obama, Hillary And Kerry Rip Trump Over Iran – Sarah Sanders Flattens Them With One Statement

On Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders took aim at the three most prominent Americans who have slammed President Trump’s decision to pull out of the Iran deal: former President Barack Obama and former Secretaries of State Hillary Clinton and John Kerry.

After Obama had released a long statement filled with prevarications, Clinton had declared America’s “credibility is shot” and Kerry had intoned Trump’s decision “weakens our security, breaks America’s word” and “isolates us from our European allies,” Sanders had had enough.

Sanders fired back, “I think based on each of those individuals’ lack of success in this entire process on foreign affairs, they would probably be the last three people that we would look to for advice and counsel, and whether or not we had made the right decisions.”

Here is how the chagrined and resentful trio had expressed their opinions:

Kerry: “Instead of building on unprecedented nonproliferation verification measures, this decision risks throwing them away and dragging the world back to the brink we faced a few years ago. The extent of the damage will depend on what Europe can do to hold the nuclear agreement together, and it will depend on Iran’s reaction.”

It will also be harder to deal with other threats like ballistic missiles and terrorism. Now we have no leverage and Iran is free to do what it wants.

It’s hard to imagine three people who have had such a disastrous effect on American foreign policy. Even Obama devotee and virulent Israel-hater Stephen Walt admitted:

In particular, Obama and his team mistakenly viewed the Arab Spring as a large-scale, grass-roots uprising clamoring for liberal democracy and embraced it too quickly. They also underestimated the ability of violent extremists to exploit power vacuums in failed states and the resilience of authoritarian regimes in places like Syria or Egypt. These misunderstandings led to Obama’s disastrous intervention in Libya, his inept diplomatic interference in Yemen, and the premature demand that “Assad must go” in Syria.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg; we could also mention the Benghazi massacre, the emboldening of Vladimir Putin as he marauded across eastern Europe, and, of course, Obama’s abandonment of Iraq. As Jeff Jacoby noted:

In his rush to pull U.S. troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan, he created a power vacuum into which terror networks expanded and the Taliban revived. Islamic State’s jihadist savagery not only plunged a stabilized Iraq back into shuddering violence, but also inspired scores of lethal terrorist attacks in the West.

Steele Dossier: The Biggest Fumble In Politics Became Its Most Successful Play

"It looks like something dicy is going on over there - lots of gunshot sounds and screaming"
Scot Peterson, the former sheriff’s deputy who was caught standing outside Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School while a gunman killed 17 people inside, has retired—and will start receiving a six-figure, taxpayer-funded pension.

    Peterson, 55, will receive $8,702 a month—about $104,000 per year.

Peterson attracted controversy after surveillance footage showed that Peterson, who was the resource deputy stationed at the high school, stood outside the building as gunman Nikolas Cruz opened fire.

    Peterson never entered the building.

Facing disciplinary action from the Broward County Sheriff’s Department, Peterson opted to resign and retire on February 23, just 9 days after the shooting.

Despite Peterson’s cowardly actions, his former employer has continued to support him, stating, “the allegations that Mr. Peterson was a coward and that his performance, under the circumstances, failed to meet the standards of police officers are patently untrue.”

However, Peterson shouldn’t get too comfortable: an ongoing Florida state inquiry into the Broward County Sheriff’s Department over their actions during the shooting could force Peterson to forfeit his pension benefits.

Florida Judge Rules Ballots Were Illegally Destroyed in Wasserman Schultz Race

A Florida Circuit judge ruled Friday that that the state’s second-most populous county violated state and federal laws by destroying ballots from a 2016 Democratic primary race which Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz won.

Circuit Judge Raag Singhal decided that the records were wrongly destroyed because the laws require elections offices to keep the ballots in federal elections for 22 months. Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes destroyed the ballots just after 12 months, the Sun-Sentinel reported.

The judge also noted that because the ballots were subject to a lawsuit, only a court order should have allowed their destruction.

Snipes “has not presented any evidence refuting that the public records sought were destroyed while this case was pending before this court,” Singhal said.

Gov. Rick Scott’s administration announced shortly after the ruling that Florida’s Department of State will send election experts to the Broward elections office in the next election to “to ensure that all laws are followed.”

Snipes’ predecessor was fired from the elections office by former Gov. Jeb Bush and the Florida Senate after failing to ensure a smooth election process in the 2002 Democratic gubernatorial primary, according to Politico.

The lawsuit was brought by Tim Canova, the defeated Democratic primary candidate who sued the elections office after seeking to check for voting irregularities. He lost the primary race by nearly 7,000 votes to Wasserman Schultz, the former chair of the Democratic National Committee.

Canova, who will be challenging the congresswoman again this year as an Independent, sought the paper ballots in March 2017, but was forced to sue three months later after he said Snipes failed to comply with the request and wanted to charge $72,000 to sort and produce the records, Politico reported.

Snipes testified that the push to destroy the ballots, which she did in September, was a “mistake,” adding that the boxes were mislabeled. She said “nothing on my part that was intentional.”

But the judge dismissed the argument, saying “Defendant’s lack of intent to destroy evidence while this case was pending is irrelevant.”

An attorney for Snipes, Burnadette Norris-Weeks, said she will appeal the decision because the elections office never declined to provide the ballots to Canova, only objected to unreasonable demands.

“It was a mistake [destroying the original ballots], but the ballots were preserved,” Norris-Weeks told the Sun-Sentinel. “They were scanned shortly after the election.”

Canova is now pushing for Snipes to lose her job.

“I think dismissal is an appropriate remedy,” Canova told the newspaper.
