I just put my second second itinerary to Australia/NZ on hold, and I need recommendations from people who've flown the products before, since I've never flown any international business class, as we can only fly one of these.

I've booked my wife and me on the following for essentially the same dates:

    1. Depart on United EWR-LHR, then Singapore LHR-SIN-SYD; Return Singapore AKL-SIN-LHR, then United LHR-EWR

    2. Depart Delta JFK-LAX, Virgin Australia LAX-BNE-SYD; Return Virgin Australia SYD-LAX, Delta LAX-JFK

Other info if you decide to weigh in. The Singapore itinerary gets to SYD 8 hrs later than the Delta one, and also leaves one day earlier. Total extra time on the ground via the Delta itinerary, about 24-36 hrs.

Thank you in advance for all advice.

And I apologize for the horrid grammar and spelling above. Geez, today is not my day.

Assuming costs are equal I'd probably take the VA/DL itinerary. SQ biz is nice but not worth the extra 24-36 hours in transit IMO, unless you really want to break the trip up and stop along the way.

Taxes and Fees are about equal ~500 total on Singapore via US Air Miles, and ~300 on Delta.

Would vote for SQ, have traveled in SQ biz and it is really good liked the experience. 24-36 hours in Singapore is worth it if you can check out the city, great shopping, sights (Sentosa Island, botanical gardens...) and the 2 casinos
