First there was cross-fleeting, then cross-blanketing, now cross-mugging

First they went for the planes.

Then they went after the blankets.

And today I noticed that the coffee mugs at the Chicago C concourse RCC were different.

    Lo and behold:

  2. I noticed those yesterday in the ORD B6 RCC as well, although they weren't inverted so I hadn't noticed the CO labeling on them.

I would assume this is a welcome departure from the old UA tea cups that I believe predated the mugs. I could do without the CO blankets on the other hand.

  4. It's a welcome departure from the old coffee cups (IMO) -- but some of the RCCs had the black mugs for some time.

I thought the title was referring to the increase in fares and mileage upgrade requirements :)

It's nicer than the tea cups.

    Clearly, you should demand compensation.

They have the CO mugs at the SFO Int'l RCC but the black ones at the domestic RCC.

    Zero :)

Though I'm tempted to get some of the onboard silverware, wine glasses and soda glasses as souvenirs before they go the way of the dodo.

My mom use to steal the butter knives from every carrier she flew. The only one that lasted forever was a UA one with the old shield type logo.

Funny story. The catering kitchen in San Juan (SJU) had tons of silverware from Pan Am and Eastern that they never had the time to wash. The airlines were coming for an inspection/inventory of their equipment so the kitchen decided to bury the silverware in the parking lot, that was currently being repaved.:D In about a million years from now some archaeologist will discover this and wonder why.

    Really?
I'm sure some FF would of went and washed it and then keep it (and/or sell it on eBay)

That is amusing, but I'll just buy a few Air Canada wine glasses from a dollar store in Atlanta.
