Surprised no one has posted in the TG forum yet...
I'm sure I will be doing it soon. Currently trying to figure out what is the best way (combination of price and schedule) to get my parents from CLE to BKK in C this summer - and TG B fares and *A mileage upgrades are definitely looking like a front-runner right now (CO and SWUs are another option but they won't get them all the way there).
Also, I'm super excited for my first TG F experience - BKK-FCO. Have been dreaming about my massage at the Royal Orchid Lounge...
The TG F Experience is one of my favorite. They really do an excellent job on the ground in BKK, and while the service in the air isn't glitzy or showy, it is quite satisfactory - with premium spirits, i'd say average food, and great service.
I also like how they have a bar in the middle of the F cabin on many of their longer flights, so that one can pour their own glass of Dom Perignon.
Of course the massage is priceless as well @ BKK Royal Orchid Spa
Happy to see a forum for Thai.
Travelling to Thailand is among my favourites...
You can say that again ... the one-hour treatment at the BKK Royal Orchid Spa followed by some Dom and good Thai food is priceless ... http://www.flickr.com/photos/kalboz/sets/72157624489773315/
Always one of the favorite part of my trips. And the staff @ BKK knows how to treat people .
Recently (Feb2) on TG925 from Muc to BKK in First. Noted on menu that Dom is no longer the welcome drink effective mid Feb. Can anyone confirm?
Oh no way! I hope they aren't pulling it fleetwide!
There's a price on it... the cost of building up miles for an award!
In a parallel universe there was talk about a rose being poured as well as Dom.
I've also heard that dom is no longer being served on some of the routes it previously was (Speaking TG specifically).
That would be unfortunate. I'm hoping that doesn't touch the BKK-CDG v.v. route.
