|| First look: Crowne Plaza Doha The Business Park ||

It's a hot, grey summer's day in Doha but there's nothing plain about the new Crowne Plaza Doha The Business Park, which is targeting a September 1 launch.

From the moment you walk through the main entrance and are immediately greeted by the 'globe' - a circular building containing a three-floor events centre - you sense you're walking into somewhere a bit different, with the spherical structure flanked closely by six office blocks. The 282-room hotel and 96 residence suites (studio, one-bed and two-bed apartments) are located behind, integrated into a semi-circular building, and the whole complex is on Airport Road, around five minutes from the airport.
