I received an email from United about their Three Day Sale to Europe but the odd part was that it said to visit and book on co.com. And if you goto ua.com, there is no mention/sign of the sale.

Usually promos/specials are available on both websites.

    Kinda of odd

Nothing with this merger surprises me anymore.

Since the old UA.com is being phased out to CO's systems this doesn't seem that strange to me.

Also look at the fine print: valid for flights on Continental and our joint venture partners Air Canada, Lufthansa and United. Bizarre.

I tried to book the LAX-MAD fare, but it's operated by Aer Lingus, which I believe does not get you any EQMs. Boooo.

I'm pretty sure that if it is using the IAD-MAD flight then it does get EQM.

You guys need to take a remedial marketing course. The United brand is all that will be used moving forward. It's basic brand management.

Did you read the fine print? They are mixing Continental and United in this message multiple times in this email. If anyone needs to learn marketing, it's UnitedContinental

That view of earning info is notoriously unreliable, particularly for OAL flights.

Credit that flight to MP if you want to be sure about earning with it.

I am taking it end of March. Hopefully both programs will be integrated by that time. If not, I was planning to credit to MP just to be safe.

Basic brand management is to use continental.com for United promotions?

I suppose it depends on how many seats they want to sell that way. ;)
