Cashed in many miles to take the family to France for summer vacation. My kids are getting crazy excited about going. Makes all the business travel feel worth it.

Where/when is your next big trip that you're excited about?

In June I will be spending one week in Milan and Lugano (hopefully, more Lugano than Milan) and then flying to Prague for a week.

In July, Madrid for a week, then Israel for 10 days, and Michigan for a few days before coming home to SFO. Then in December, Israel for 2-3 weeks.

No, I have wanted to go for a long time but never got around to it. The thing that gave me the final push is that there will be a Milepoint/FlyerTalk Do there in early June. That will give me three days to spend with FFers and the rest of the week to explore the city on my own.

Venice 4 nights in Sept before 11 night Royal Clipper cruise down the Dalmatian Coast, around to Sicily, Capri and then staying in Rome 5 nights beginning of Oct before returning home. Very excited :D but dismayed to see the USD/EU exchange rate steadily declining.:(

Enjoy it. Prague Castle (and Lobkowicz palace within the castle grounds) is a must (original transcripts from mozart and beethoven on display along with countless other priceless items), and the obvious areas around St. Charles (Karlovy) Bridge. I've been there many times and still discover new things each time.

Wouldnt surprise me if the euro doesnt turn south a bit. If your bank or where ever you get your euro's from doesnt have a sliding scale for currency purchasing costs, you may want to dollar cost average into euro's and buy some each month or every couple of weeks, that way you dont run the risk of picking the high price for your euro purchase, and you will automatically have the average cost of the currency that it experiences between now and your trip. Portugal and Greece are making some murmurs again. Venice in my opinion is the most photogenic city in the world. bring an extra memory card!!
