I usually book LGA-BOS-YHZ on UA codeshare as the price is much cheaper than the alternative. However, whenever I check into the BOS-YHZ segment on AC it only allows me to enter my UA or AC number. Is this is a known problem?

... it allows you to enter either your AC or UA number. So what were you expecting to be able to enter?

I thought the CO numbers had been replaced by UA numbers now, but based on your message, I guess that hasn't happened yet.

If you can't enter your CO number when you book the flight, and it won't take it when you check in, the next best choice is to ask an agent to enter it at the airport.

The CO numbers are what's surviving.

Although it's the CO account number that's surviving, the program is called Mileage Plus (or UA). Will the field not accept a program account that has letters and numbers?

Don't know, as I haven't tried since the switch-over does not happen until March 3. The original point stands though, that when checking in online for a UA codeshare, AC operated flight, AC only allows UA or AC FFNs to be entered.

So I think your point is that AC check-in will accept only a legacy UA MP number, not a "new" UA MP number (which is effectively the legacy CO FF number). Did I understand that correctly?

And are you not able to add the FF number when booking?
