Are there any reputable and reliable ways to trade frequent flyer miles between people? Like if I wanted to trade 10,000 UR points for 10000 Miles and More points, or something to that effect?

I've seen a couple of sites offering a service like that, but I don't know how trustworthy they'd be.

In that nearly every program prohibits such acts there isn't really a "legit" way to do it. Making friends is likely to be the safest approach.

There's a website that seems to be sanctioned by some airlines that allows you to convert miles/points from one FF program to another, but at very bad rates. I've never tried to use it.

I'll phrase it as a Jeopardy answer.

    What is points.com?

I am in the trust business, 99% of the time I have no problem.

I do screen my prospects, to eliminate the suspects

Depends in how hard your miles are to come by, and how easily the can be replaced.

FT CC 10,000 MU has no real value, sounds like a Karma almost,

I received 9 different emails from tire kickers on a SW one way ticket once for Karma, even blog readers, are just talkers not doers...

The 80/20 rule is true, even in this game. Less the 1% in the top 3% producers sad.

FT has the Coupon Connection, a restricted forum for established members. Milepoint has a similar forum for Gold members only. UR points work well because you CAN put them into any friend's account although a rules change in Fall 2012 says you MAY not. A Miles & More member could use his miles to book an award for you in return.
I myself could help you out if you want up to 30K AA miles for your equal number of UR or Diners' Club.

I sold some SW passes on Ebay, and received a letter from SW, Do it again, and I would lose all my miles.

Bought UA Upgrade once for my wife, and UA took it away,

One never knows who they are dealing with, back to the face to face that FTU
gives you, and even then who knows...

FT Coupon Connection also has had problems, and they did not protect their members...read the posts., for the most part it us a safe site.

    When in doubt stay out.
