    It's the same fee, the difference is, it goes up by 100%! [ At least when you have only 1 segment ]:eek:

    Not that I like to see any fee increase, and I do travel on plenty of nonstop flights - but it has never made a lot of sense to double the security fee for connecting flights when the biggest TSA expense is the screening, and you generally only get screened a single time, regardless of connections.

    This could make it easier to switch between nonstops and connections when doing a SDC or standby.

    Why? It doesn't lower any fees - initially it raises the fees for non-stops to the same as connecting itins, then it raises them again for everyone to $7.50 per linked segment (e.g. $7.50 one way, $15 round trip or open jaw, $22.50 for 2 stopovers)
