  3. The problem is that BA marketing really don't rate TV ads any more.

    Maybe because its the reputation of previous ads, means they shy away from making new ads.

    Lots of Radio marketing, ads in newspapers etc

    There are some great internal BA ads, which were used for staff training which have never made it to the outside world...those were the days were BA marketing had a shed load of money to spend on ads.

    They don't really get much better than the "I'll crack the whip in the galley, suh" line and subsequent captain's laugh from the BOAC ad:



    Not unless we're allowed to wheel out rival airlines and the "Caledonian girls" series, of course.

    The recent Sydney add from a few years back was also quite nice. Especially the version that had the outtakes. [​IMG]

    What about the "We'll Take more care of you?" The Junior Jet Club sent me the song on one of those floppy records that invariably got bent and unplayable.
