This thread is started with the idea of building community.....

....so while posting or perusing the thread....please humm to the tune: "Getting to know you...." ♪ ♫ ♫ ♪ ♫

My choice is most movies with Clint Eastwood either acting or directing.

John Wayne is a close second.

Too many to post in a compact fashion. So here's a few to kick it off (and why)

    Memento
    Inception
    Sixth Sense

They all made me think. They all made me go back and watch them again soon after seeing them the first time.

    Good post.

You choose movies for reflective content.

I choose movies for action content as an escape from the stresses of my life. After the movie, I return to reality revitalized....my profession gave me enough heavy content...

That's just one example... As Patton, no Eisenhower, no MacArthur said, "I shall return."

My son was home from college a few weekends back and he proceeded to tell me about a hilarious movie he had recently watched, The Jerk with Steve Martin. I was surprised at how many lines and scenes I could remember from that great movie.

I was on a road trip in the NE US a few years back and we spent the night in Gloucester, MA where this movie was based from. It is a quaint little fishing village just like it is portrayed in the movie and the monument to all those lost at sea is something to stop and see if you are ever in that area of the country.

Yeah, pretty cool movie. Mickey Rourke still looked like a human being. Robert De Niro was very good as the devil. I still remember the scene with him eating the hard boiled egg.
