Family Friendly Easter Events in London

  1. London is absolutely gorgeous in the spring. With our recent streak of sunshine, blue skies and warm temperatures Easter weekend is set to be one of the finest on record. Grab an Easter basket and sample several of our suggested outdoor Easter events.
    Battersea Park
    Easy Peasy Skate is sponsoring a Rollerblade Easter Egg Hunt, try to collect eggs while on wheels. Register to guarantee a prize or just turn up with your full kit on the morning.
    23 April, 10 am
    Kew Gardens
    Kew’s 5 million bulbs are in full bloom now, just stunning! Celebrate all things chocolate with the Kew Chocolate Extravaganza with workshops, tastings, chocolate sculptures and even chocolate making sessions by Peyton & Byrne.
    Visit with the Easter Bunny (24 April only).
    Daily through May 2
    9:30 am – 6 pm

    Handel House
    Enjoy a harpsichord performance and follow the Easter trail with goodies to find.
    Saturday 23 April
    12 noon – 6 pm
    Chiswick House
    The special Easter egg hunt with games and prizes is held in the historic walled garden, formerly a kitchen garden and restored for educational use. Enter the Easter bonnet parade, an English tradition where children decorate a hat with a spring theme, prizes are awarded for the most creative.
    Tickets are £5
    Monday 25 April
    10:30 am-1:00 pm
    London Wetland Centre
    Exploratory Easter Egg trail, live duckling displays, spring crafts, boat races, egg decorating and pond dipping are just a few of the activities to keep the kids entertained. Afterwards, take advantage of the indoor and outdoor play areas.

    Covent Garden Piazza
    The Original Penguin 1000 Chocolate Egg Giveaway
    Look for the Penguin girls on the Piazza doling out chocolate and prizes.
    23 April
    Cadbury Mini Eggs
    Be sure to sample an English favorite, Cadbury Mini Eggs. Only produced for Easter, the little candy covered morsels of goodness are just divine. They can be found at any grocery store or news agent.

    Sad I have to travel Sunday and cannot experience Easter in London this year! Thanks for sharing the list! Of course, with living here, I can have "real" mini eggs!
