    At 1:00 pm, I had finally pushed my way towards the front, anxious to catch a glimpse of my friend as he crossed the finish line. The sun was shining, the crowd was boisterous despite being packed nine deep on to the sidewalk, and the runners passing us in droves were all smiles as they finished...
