milchap: I am a retired military senior officer.
ACMM - AC - I fly and like flying Air Canada; MM - I recently crossed 1 million status miles on AC (that is status miles only on AC or AC Jazz - not any of the *A partners)
Will you change your handle to AC2MM when you reach the next milestone?
For me, when I joined my first traveler's community, I was flying out of Geneva a lot ... could change to AtlantaFlyer now, but I have fond memories of Geneva.
Believe me I do not expect to make 2MM It took me just over 10 years to get 1MM. Will not be flying this crazily for the next 10 years I hope!
after retirement, we started traveling a lot more......
actually doing a bit less now after a flurry of travel for a few years -
A Carioca is a citizen of Rio de Janeiro (from the original Tupi, 'place where the white man lives') and jb represents Jardim Botanico where I live.
It's the Toronto neighbourhood where I live. A beautiful mix of young and old, wealthy and poor, different ethnicities, small shops and wonderful people!
Kaanapali - Pretty much self-evident; it is the area on Maui which we like to take family (and sometimes extended-family) vacations (as often as we can get there...or elsewhere in Hawaii)
I fly one of these:
Ya gotta admit your handle is spot on!
I think you should start another thread asking for explanations of the avatars too. I want to know why yours, for example. RedM3Pilot also explained his handle eloquently but the seriousness of his handle is wildly divergent with the avatar, don't you agree? We need this reconciled.
I don't see an avatar as a depiction of me. I intend to change it periodically.
Mine is a desert scene that I found and used.
When I signed up for FlyerTalk 9 years ago, I was on a business trip to Europe and was running the Cholula Hot Sauce brand. I didn't plan on doing more than ask one question so I didn't give the handle a lot of thought. Just used the name of the product that I sold and marketed.
Well, 9 years later and 20K+ posts on FT and 1.6K posts now on MP I'm still here. And still asking questions. And occasionally answering them.
Happy to say that I retired from the hot sauce gig almost 6 years ago. It was fun and a lot of my friends still work for the brand. But retirement is a whole lot more fun, trust me!
Your avatar shows you are much younger now than then, too. You only need to make sure nobody looks at your avatar on Kiva.org.
BTW, if the rest of you want to see Cholula at his Hottest and best, head off to Kiva.org and the milepointers team and look at him now! While you're there you can sign up.
That's what a steady diet of hot sauce will do for you.
Huh...that's the picture off of my driver's license.
Actually....for those that know me, the avatar is a very appropriate alter ego.
Mine was my high school nickname. I try to keep the same name for everything online so I don't forget.
Queen of the Skies
Queen of the Skies
I have admired your handle since you arrived.
She is my treasured sweetheart.
The only Love of my Life.
Something my parents come up with. It just seem to stick.
But did they give you your face?
I have been called Punki by friends and family since I was a baby.
Mine is simple, it's my first name.
