I'm trying to make two different reservations - one for two seats via miles, and another for two seats via dollars. I'm using different browsers. Whatever I do, I get: Is the AA.com site working for anyone out there?
Right - it was at the end, when I was trying to put the itinerary on hold. Got one - the mileage one. Still working on the dollars one.
AA's twitter account has stated the AA.com has been having issues today and they plan on introducing a fix after 9:30 PM (no time zone specified).
OK - thanks. Maybe they're adding yet more partners to the award redemption area . . . (one can hope)
If you know where to look, hints are that we won't see another new parter for at least a few weeks. Probably just standard maintenance.
I have had more problems booking reservations this evening on AA.com than I've had in a while. Fares pricing MASSIVELY lower in Business than in Coach, fares changing when I go from "departure" to "return"., geting the message "this fare is no longer available", yet then it is, and it's cheaper, etc.....
Before my flight, I had problems trying to get to my reservations using the BB application, but not from my iPod.
This will be of no help to Schnitzel and his problem today, but this reminds me of a very similar problem several years ago when I got all the way through the reservation and had it crap out at the final step. Did this six times in a row and I finally gave up. Either booked another airline or decided not to go -- can't remember. That afternoon I had a phone call from AA asking if I really wanted to book six different seats for the same person all on the same credit card. Uh, no, I didn't. Yikes! ("Well, we had some problems this morning," the woman finally said.)
At long last, I got all of the flights held, only to have my wife tell me she'd prefer a different date in the end.
Oh, believe me, I tried. Oh, did I try. £178 First Class on a BA codeshare LHR to EZE? £204 Busuiness Class LHR to NRT? £105 LHR to LAX in Business? Heck yeah. In fact, one gets all the way through the booking process, puts the fare on hold, and the held fare shows the "real" (what we all know it should be) price.
Well, this wasn't WN, and besides, my weight is under control, hehheh. Besides, while I am proud of my credit card limits and overall card management (with sane accumulation of miles), buying 6 seats for one person on one card not my idea of a good time, lol.
Five seats in the middle of the 777 to sleep on and one aisle seat across the way to hold all your gold bars and diamond watches.
