Forgive me if this is old news - I've searched but can't find ant other mention of it.

My understanding was that oneworld emerald (EXP on AA) got access to first class lounges when traveling internationally.

I just got my EXP card and was reading through the booklet that came with it.

    On page 8:

"Benefits of oneworld Emerald status include access on the day of travel to the lounges^ of all oneworld airlines when you are traveling internationally, [...]"

on the bottom of the page:

    "^ Excludes First Class lounges"
    Is this new? Typo?

I thought oneworld gave First Class lounge access to emerald - was a real differentiator for oneworld vs. star (in my mind, anyway).

When is this effective? I was cruising the First Class Lounges last week. Maybe this is one time it's a good thing the lounge dragons are not up to date.

Odd. On the current version of the Executive Platinum 2010 Benefits Guide on page 8, there's an asterisk rather than a caret to indicate the caveat, and the text is different although equally inaccurate: (Source: AAdvantage Executive Platinum Guide)

With that said, oneworld's website still has the correct rules: oneworld Lounge Access

I was in Galleries First at LHR T5 six days ago and the dragon didn't bat an eye when I presented my Club Europe BP and EXP card, so I think the typo theory is correct.

If there was any chance that a change had been made, either in policy or in practice, all holy hell would have been brought to bear.

Yet another typoe [IMG] in AA's information. I have experienced no problems this month being admitted to First lounges when flying a oneworld airline (CX, JL) in several locations. AA is not going to be unilaterally making changes to oneworld policy.

What's scary is if the typo goes uncorrected and AA gets any ideas.

LHR Galleries Terminal 3 was tested successfully yesterday, as was Flagship Lounge at LAX.

Perhaps someone should amend the title with an [answered] or an
    [unfounded rumor].

No, that would deprive people of the fun of scaring the poop out of other members.

The wording in the EXP booklet is the same as the wording in the Plat booklet, it appears that when updating for the differences between Plat and EXP they missed this one.

I emailed AA on Feb 8th and received a reply stating "...we must conduct additional research on this matter...." I haven't heard from them since.

From reading this I get the impression that AA does not allow first class passengers lounge access on domestic routes. Is that correct? Is Puerto Rico considered domestic? Does AA honor Priority Pass?
