With the ending of the Barclays US Air credit card coming, what do you think will happen with all the excess miles that Barclays bought and never will be able to offer customers?

I would guess there's some deal whereby they can convert them to AA miles and keep using them with the new Red card.

Well they still owe me 15k on one account :)
Seriously I'm sure they have worked out something with Citi and AA on this issue I would assume. Most likely they will convert them to the new Red Card like Counsellor suggested. They may just keep those cards around long enough to use them up and then end the relationship since Citi has an exclusive with AA.

Yea, that is what I think would make sense, but does Citi want to help out Barclays? Wondering if they will have a sale on them.

I'll bet a cold one that is wishful thinking, that the "mile sale days" of the "old USAirways" (only last year!) are long gone. :(
