I mentioned this earlier but I thought I would make a post. Newark to Milan from LH on AC Metal (or from AC for $643) Midweek Flights, 3 day minimum or sunday night stay Routings I see are EWR-YYZ-MXP-YYZ-EWR See it as K class which means no UA Miles I think? Not sure how to calculate a CPM on this. Regardless a very very good late summer early fall fare to Europe.
Should earn 25% on EWR-YYZ vv and 100% on YYZ-MXP vv. There are also option on UA Express metal for the transborder flights which will earn 100% credit or even the non-stop between MXP and EWR (inventory is limited but I see it westbound on 11 September). Base fare is $17.50 each way and YQ is $486. Base is $47.50 on weekends. Anytime you see a cheap AC, LH, UA or LX fare you can safely assume that the other three have the same fare filed. The A++ ATI/JV is managed such that UA files all the fares ex-North America on behalf of the group and they are nearly always lock-step with each other.
I saw that routing on the return. EWR-DUS-MXP-EWR but it was on LH in K eastbound which meant no miles correct?
Yup. Definitely avoid LH metal in K class. If it is a codeshare (UA K op'd by LH) then it MIGHT map to an earning fare class on LH metal when it posts, but I wouldn't bet on it.
