For the first time, Enterprise Rent-A-Car customers are now able to bypass a rental counter at some airports with the addition of new self-service kiosks.

Enterprise's parent company, Clayton-based Enterprise Holdings, is adding new touch-screen kiosks at 50 U.S. airports to cut down on check-in times. Enterprise installed its first new kiosk in Orlando in late June and plans to add new kiosks at Lambert International St. Louis Airport later this month, a spokeswoman said.

The kiosks are being added at 50 U.S. airports for Enterprise's car rental brands Alamo Rent A Car, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and National Car Rental. Alamo and National previously had self-service kiosks at some locations, and the existing kiosks are being upgraded. A self-service check-in process is a first for its flagship brand, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Enterprise said in a statement Tuesday.
