As always, check other rates, as they may save more than the credit amount.
Sounds like a good deal!
Unfortunately a lot of times the rates are higher, which either A) cuts the value down substantially (as is often the case with a Hyatt Daily Rate vs. the promo rate), or B) is WAAAY more than a rate like Advance Purchase, where you lose refundability but save way way more anyway.
The difference between the AAA rate and the WELCRE rate at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco for 3 nights this weekend was $140. And that is cash you can spend anywhere, not hotel credit!
This rate can be more than $150 I have found. The terms vary per hotel, as I have found the HR Aruba to give a $500 credit under that rate. Other hotels price it out in local currency and are varying amounts.
