Emirates will be the first airline with scheduled A380 service to/from Munich. Emirates will put the A380 on its Dubai-Munich morning service (EK49/EK50) starting January 1st, 2012.

In additition, Emirates will introduce a new daily Frankfurt flight. Slot times for the new Frankfurt flight, creating a triple daily service, are still being discussed.

Due to the current air service agreement between the UAE and Germany, Emirates is currently limited to flying to four destinations in Germany. Hence, their only option to expand further is by putting larger aircraft like the A380 on an existing route, or by adding additional service into FRA/MUC/DUS/HAM.

When will the EKG A330 from Dubai to Frankfurt get flat beds, not angled beds? A bit surprised given its a 7 hour overnight flight.
