Egyptian exec arrested at NY's posh Pierre hotel for alleged sexual assault:mad:

Less than two weeks after the arrest of prominent French banker and politician Dominique Strauss-Kahn for allegedly trying to rape a housekeeper in his New York City hotel suite, New York police on Monday arrested a high-powered businessman at a posh hotel on similar charges, according to the New York Times and New York Daily News.

Police arrested at The Pierre 74-year-old Egyptian banker Mahmoud Abdel-Salam Omar, 74, for allegedly sexually assaulting a 44-year-old hotel housekeeper in his $900-a-night room, the stories say.

He was charged with "sexual abuse, unlawful imprisonment, forcible touching and harassment," the Daily News says. He spent Monday night at the 19th Precinct stationhouse on the upper East Side.
