There does not appear to be a way to edit the title of threads that you have created. If you have a typo in the title or want to correct something that was misstated, it seems like the OP should be able to edit/fix the title to make it accurate.

I noticed this today for the first time and agree, this should be an accessible field to edit. If you have editing privileges, it makes sense to have access to edit both the content and title

Yes, I also agree. I started a thread about https access to MilePoint, then was disappointed that I could not edit the thread title.

It's pretty inconvenient right now if you want to change the title. You need to report the thread and hopefully the Admin will change that for you. Not sure if this is the long term solution but we probably need something better in place.

And to add to that, more categories once you get over xx threads so we don't repeat ourselves too much.

    Edit Thread Titles

(The sarcasm is to the site, not to scubaflyer as I would and have started threads that already exist because using search is annoying)

that is the implication, sort of an administrator level for the generic m.er.

But it is more likely to be this - post

As long as you are seeking to edit the title you created, I don't see why this can be done by anyone, or at the very least, those who have obtained Silver Status.

The other thread discussing the same thing notes some potential technical and indexing issues with changing thread titles.

Maybe you would need a sticky then on how to do it? I can understand if the setup is not quite there yet to do it. But the mere fact that we have multiple threads talking/discussing the need to do this sort of proves the point! [IMG]

    1. "custom title" sounds like under your handle...

    2. FT gives you 5 minutes to edit title

No. Custom title is where you have the default under your handle (eg "Original Member")
