    Hi!
When the SAS website got updated a couple of months ago, there was a EB-milage calculator implemented in the booking-engine where you could see how many points you would accumulate on the different routings... However, it seems that it has now dissappeared... Why?

Why, is a good question that probably on SAS can answer.

It didn't work very well though, so maybe that's why. For instance it showed that you earned 0 points in all classes when flying OV-operated flights.

I hope it comes back too and I presume they are just working on it - and SK-IT is not notorious for being very effective.

I actually wondered about the same a couple of days ago. Was checking prices to BKK, and couldn't seem to find
any calculator. I presumed it was just SK beeing themselves, and removing customer-appreciated extras....[IMG]

It didn't work well on code-share flights, but on pure SAS routings, it was an allright indicator on how many points you were getting... It was also nice to see which booking class that you were getting.

I had a conversation about this with SAS Customer Service the first time it disappeared (just after the launch of the new booking site) and it seems that the point calculator was messing up other stuff in the booking engine, so they removed it. I guess the same thing happened now, or it's just as you suggested above - the partner airlines didn't show up with correct points upon booking. The last time it was gone for about a week, so we'll keep our fingers crossed... [IMG]

I recall it wasn't working properly. I think that's why they decided to remove it.

Even the Miles&More Meilenrechner has its flaws when it comes to codeshares etc.
SAS should add a disclaimer and at least show us the booking class!
