EasyJet will launch flights from London Gatwick to Moscow next spring after being granted the rights by the CAA.

It will operate an Airbus A320 on two services a day, with fares starting from £125 return.

The airline claims this will compare to current fares of over £1000 for an economy ticket.

Tickets will be on sale in the coming weeks.

I believe EasyJet has a fighting chance for this market, as prices can be really really high to fly on this route.

Certainly with BA and BMI no longer competing for the route.
