    Hi all,

Is anybody at the Japan or Asian island Hyatts? Especially Park Hyatt Tokyo, Grand Hyatt Tokyo, HR Hakone. Hope you are all OKAY.

    Regards,

There are reports that all Japan and Asia Hyatts are operating normally. Tokyo hotels will be subject to general rolling brownouts if scheduled, just like everyone else.

I spent 6 hrs at the HR Osaka Friday night after our flight from SFO to NRT was diverted to KIX. Not the easiest hotel to get to from KIX in the middle of the night, but the places near the airport were all booked (not surprising considering the number of planes diverted to KIX). Obviously Osaka is far away from the affected quake zone and there was no impact on hotel operations (other than lots of displaced pax... apparently AA booked an entire 777 or at least part of it into the Hyatt while UA left us to our own devices).

We got a very nice corner room (almost suite-like) for 21k Yen last minute and breakfast coupons for the restaurant, but didn't have time to eat as we had to catch an early shuttle back to the airport to catch a flight out to BKK.
