I put together a list of the promos available for earning points by donating to charities associated with Huricane Sandy relief efforts this morning. I'm not certain that it is complete so if anyone else knows of any please share. Here's what I've got:

This is great - thanks for putting this list together.

The JetBlue relief effort is supported by KULA Causes - which if you are going to be on StarMegaDo4 you will get more information about.

That's cheaper than buying SPG points. Can I donate to my family who are still out of power and have no phone service and then reap the points as well? :D

No, but hopefully their power will be back on soon

I've been there, done that and it isn't fun.

also I would bet all the matching donations mentioned in this thread have already been made.

Many companies will match their employees donations to non profits (if made directly) and that's the way we make all of our charitable donations, rather than go through a third party.

It was tongue-firmly-in-cheek. Mid Nassau Country power crews are working east to west in their area and, although they were told Saturday was the target, my guess is power won't be resumed until Monday.

What sucks is the development is fully electric. No stove, no hot water, no heat.

That said, there are many worse off.

I just received an email from Hilton HHonors promising 10 HHonors points for every $1 donated (through their GlobalGiving site) through the end of the year.

Any links to this offer? Did not find anything on the SPG.com homepage.

If you read it again, it is your donations of star points equal a cash donation. You can search keywords spg donation sandy.

It's not earning points, but swagbucks also has a donation option. Every swagbuck is worth $.01.
