A question for you fine people: en route to NZ last November I flew via LAX and NAN on Air Pacific. I later discovered that FJ is an NZ Cooperation Partner. That page says that NZ has a codeshare agreement with FJ.

I've rung Airpoints and after a long time on hold the (sounding rather new) person said that since I had the FJ code and not a NZ code, I couldn't earn Airbucks on the LAX-NAN segment. Is this correct? Should I bother sending in my boarding card anyway?

Sounds right to me. FJ is not a partner of Airpoints, but LAX-NAN is a special exemption for earning on codeshares operated by non-partner airlines.
