I guess it's at least a small step forward (aka better than nothing)

It opens up new opportunities for segment runs for those who are so inclined.

A small step, but in the right direction! :)
I don't really care about the points, as I get more than enough extra points from credit cards as it is - and all three legs mentioned in the article are pretty short so I wouldn't expect much anyway, but the qualifying flights would make re-qualifying for gold a piece of cake..

I am sure the requirement for Gold would go up very quickly.

...and I am sure a lot of people up north will be pretty angry that their cities are still excluded.

I'm not so sure if only 3 routes get opened for accrual. It's a very difficult decision for SAS as many Norwegians don't travel OSL-TRD/SVG/BGO that often. So a person located in eg. TOS who only travels to Oslo and prefers SAS internationally to retain status and never travels the other routes, might drift away from SAS if the qualification thresholds increase significantly.

I'm not sure what you mean Tommy, but isn't TRD-OSL one of Europe's most busy routes....? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for mileage accrual on domestic routes, but i find it rather silly that it is not allowed on the entire network. But again......there's the slow wits of the norwegian government for you..
