There was an early morning fire at MSP today near the G1-G6 gates in Terminal 1 that DL uses for longhaul international flights. At first it was reported in an upstairs employee break area, but later TV news is saying that it started in a storage room. Sprinklers and alarms were activated and the G1-G6 "cul de sac" area of the terminal was evacuated. One flight was apparently moved to another gate.

    The fire is being investigated.

Watch DL gate assignments carefully, especially for international departures today.
