Dutch Airports Benefit From German Airport Tax:confused:

Germans are crossing the border to fly from Dutch airports in order to avoid a new tourist tax, according to airports association ADV.

The tax had the greatest effect on airports that have a high proportion of low-cost airlines and domestic flights, the ADV said on Wednesday.

Hahn airport, near Frankfurt and mostly served by Ryanair flights, saw passenger numbers drop 13.7 percent in the first six months of 2011.
