|| Dunkin' Donuts in 'racist' ad row ||
Not being of African American descent, I am certainly not capable of relating to how someone who is would feel about this ad, but I personally don't think it is meant to offend anyone. They are advertising a charcoal donut, and that is all the coloring is about.
That's what I have also thought, it's all about advertising, marketing a product in Thailand.
Without knowing, are we assuming the model is not a person with darker skin? That hardly looks like the old Black Face of the past. This HRW group seems a little trigger happy. To assume all persons of African descent with darker skin would find that offensive is probably a stretch.
What I find most offensive is "Charcoal Donut", that sounds awful.
hopefully it doesn't taste like charcoal
