My final destination is ZFV ( Philadelphia PA) from EWR. What if I do not catch train to Philly ?

Can I start my return journey from EWR instead of ZFV?

    Itinerary is DEN-EWR-ZFV.

    Thanks,

No, your ticket would be cancelled.

I think we've seen reports saying just the opposite: that UA does not track utilization of the Amtrak segments, at least not in real time, so this would work. Do some more searching for reports before you give up.

If you have seen such a report within the past several months it would be one of very few. Amtrak is scanning tickets in real-time now and is generally able to process no-shows far better than they did years ago. I would not risk it.

Lots of reports and more details in the very well used thread on FlyerTalk: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unit...codeshare-faq-including-zfv-philadelphia.html.
