    thanks for the post, this is a Cat 1 property (5,000 points) so should be good value for a stay for those in Singapore as well

    nice. I may just hang out there more often when we visit. We actually stayed at the KSL resort since we eat around that mall. Rather earn or burn at those rates.

    I actually booked a couple of nights on reward point redemption in September, then cancelled it because my daugthers had a dance grading exam that week.

    But if it stays at 5000 points for redemption, that's a good option in the central part of Johor, good that Johor now has 2 chain hotel options, this and the Renaissance Johor

    Now if they could only deal with the seedy cab drivers after taking the bus over checkpoints, we'd be set. Actually with our family size now, we just take the yellow cabs from Queens st.

    I meant taking the specially cross licensed cabs in Singapore itself.,..

    yes, those cabs are a better option generally, stayed at the Renaissance at Johor Bahru last year and it was great, very modern and sleek, plus the GM was kind enough after i wrote to him prior to the trip, to upgrade my room onto the Executive floor:p
