First time staying at the hotel, and it had great diamond recognition. As a diamond, I was: Upgraded to a parlor suite, without asking. Given a voucher for free breakfast or $10 to use at any time at the bar, coffee shop, or resultant. Given free parking—this normally costs $10. Given a free diet coke and a bag of M&Ms—while checking in, I asked to charge these to my room, and the desk staff said, “We’ll give those to you as a Diamond.” The room service was pretty good. In addition to standard Doubletree fare, it had a number of southwest items like enchiladas, green chili, chile relleno, etc. The rooms are fairly up-to-date and had large flat screen TV. It also had one of the ugliest arm chairs I’ve seen in a hotel I’ll be staying at several other Hilton properties in Albuquerque over the next couple weeks, and I’m curious to see how they compare.
