The Salinas Californian reports the door fell from a Beechcraft King Air twin-turboprop plane that took off from Monterey Regional Airport Thursday afternoon.

The door wasn't discovered until Friday morning when a contractor working outside the motel noticed it.

    I assume it wasn't a cabin door?

Judging from the picture I saw, it actually was a cabin door (assuming it wasn't a stock photo).

That pilot then urgently needs to have his vision and hearing examined :)

    I agree...though from the article
Definitely looks like a cabin door: http://www.kionrightnow.com/story/2...id-flight-and-lands-on-motel-roof-in-monterey
