Does it really say "Platine" on a French-Canadian Amex Plat card?

while browsing through the canadian amex website, I saw pictures of the plat card where platinum is written in french; "platine." Just wondering if this is really how the cards are produced or if it's just for the website. To my knowledge, platinum cards in france say platinum. not platine.

I live in Quebec. Don't be surprised, we have some "interesting" language laws that require the predominance of french. I have the Aeroplan Platinum, but it doesn't say Platinum on the card either way. I would have no doubt that it would say Platine in Quebec though if you requested french as your language of correspondence.
