Because Im 700 pts short. Grrrr. I have a hotel xfer on place but that could take almost 6-8 weeks. I'd rather spend and get it in use.

if you're only 700 points short right now, then you have to have the credit card, so why not just buy gift cards with your CC to get the 700 points?

I just cycled. It would be 30+ days til I saw those points. I was attempting to see if purchase points would count and post faster. I'd prefer obtain it now and get booking some flights I have planned.

I initiated one already for 2000 pts from Radisson. But it might take 6 weeks per their terms. I'm just being impatient.

Purchased points do NOT count toward CP. Renting a car is probably the fastest way to get CP qualifying points.

Partners can be slow to post points. Teleflora was taking a month to post when they started. Maybe they're faster now but I doubt it. The volume of RR transactions probably doesn't warrant special effort on their part. Rental car companies realize that posting speed can be a competitive advantage. Same for hotels.

Over Valentines Day I purchased flowers from Teleflora and got the points deposited into my RR account the next day.

I wonder if it is because the hotel tier was raised and they didn't warn you?
