I know that an iphone supports wide range of bands in 4G/LTE space.
    [ 1 (2100 MHz), 2 (1900 MHz), 3 (1800 MHz), 4 (AWS), 5 (850 MHz), 8 (900 MHz),13 (700c MHz), 17 (700b MHz), 19 (800 MHz), 20 (800 DD),25 (1900 MHz) ]

But what about other phones ? Android phones that are also Dual SIM ? I would like 2,3,4,7,12,17,20,40 Which roughly covers carriers I use in US,India, Ireland, France, UK and Singapore.

After further poking around, I found the bands used as follows:

    AT&T: Band 2 (1900) 4 (1700) 17(700)
    T-Mobile: Band 2 (1900) 4 (1700) 12(700 a)
    Telcel: Band 4(1700)
    Rogers: Band 4 (1700) 17(700)
    This covers US/Mexico/Canada/Puerto Rico

    Airtel: Band 3(1800) 40(2300)
    Vodafone: Band 3(1800)
    Singtel: Band 3(1800) 7(2600) 8(900)
    This covers India and Singapore.

    Orange: Band 7(2600) , 20(800)
    Vodafone: Band 3(1800) , 20(800)
    EE: Band 3(1800) , 7(2600)
    3: Band 3(1800) , 20(800)
This covers France, Ireland & UK

So in summary what I need is: 2,3,4, 7, 8, 12,17,20,40 at best, and could do with 2,3,4,7,40

The quest continues for a Dual SIM phone that could eliminate my carrying multiple phones, and SIM swapping.

40 is basically used in china and india. so mostly china and india sold phones only will support it. its also FDD. you need to shop around among phones sold in India. I have an LG G3 D855 that works on airtel ( so it support 2300 even if its not mentioned anywhere) but its single sim.

    • GSM:
      • 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz
    • UMTS:
      • 850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz
    • FDD LTE:
      • 800 (band 20), 1800 (band 3),2100(band 4) ,2300(band 40) ,2600 (band 7) MHz
