Do full overhead bins affect how a flight handles?

    I wish airlines came to their senses and simply would NOT charge for check-in luggage = This would mean less stress on the passengers, the crew and the plane alike!:) [ Surely the airlines wallets win out, sadly! ]:(

    Yeah but they make so much more on freight. If the majority carryon then an empty cargo means more room for packages etc. and much more money for the airlines.

    I can't say for sure but I would be very surprised if the relatively minor shifts in baggage relative to butt-line and water line would effect the handling qualities of a modern airliner in any appreciable way.

    If they can stay under MGTOW, MZFW and within CG limits. I'm not familiar with the CG limits of any of the airliners but some aircraft have a more restrictive CG envelope the higher the weight is.
