OK, so will post here as I would not like to be flooded by horror stories and youtube videos of pat downs.

So, in April, will be flying back to PRG from JFK T3 DL. What is the procedure like for a 2yo? Can one parent stand near the child while the pat down occurs?

    Thanks.

Well, just FYI, no pat down, just normal metal machine scanner....

Try to be sure that the child doesn't set off the metal detector. No big zippers, metal jewelry, big metal buttons or snaps, etc. (Velcro fasteners are your friend.)
