Market Watch: Delta Revenue Sees Business Class Boost

I do not think it's any secret fares have gone up!!

The article notes DL's $1 Billion investment in upgrading the expereince for J/F/elite passengers. Of course, we know it's not always "Best in Class," but DL does have a decent hard product...and I say that after my recent Y experiences on BA and EK in Y.

Yes, Delta's business class hard product is decent compared to BA Y and EK Y. ;)

It's a close call on the soft product comparison, however.

LOL I've flown BA in J and in F. While F is of course better, the food in DL J is better than J in BA (I think). I also think the wine on DL J is better. The service on DL is at a more relaxed pace I find than on BA. BA J has decent food/wine, but it is not restaurant pace. It is fast. You'd best keep up.

What BA has that is nice -- "raid the larder" (snack bar). They have a wide variety of choices, both food and bev.

What DL does better: food, wine, pace of service. And generally the FAs are friendlier.

What DL seriously needs to do == LOSE THE CRADLES SEATS on the 763.
