DL and AS are ending some reciprocal elite benefits on Apr 30, 2014.

AS looses sky priority boarding (now zone 1), checked baggage fee waivers, priority baggage, access to DL elite security lines, and the 50% discount on economy comfort on DL as of May 1 2014 per their email.

DL looses checked bags on AS and priority security per their separate email.

    Fun times.

So I will have to take special care not to connect between the two airline when I have checked baggage? This will be a nightmare especially if I booked my tickets on Delta.com (006) and assumed that my International Flight Allowance + Medallion benefits gets carried across the entire itinerary.

That is a great point. Yucky if true.

In the other thread where you asked this in the DL forum @mattsteg responded and said basically you'd only pay as a DL elite if the first seg was AS operated but the others were DL operated.
