What is the difference between Park, Grand, Regency, Andaz etc
Hyatt properties are individual properites which don't fit any of the other sub-brands.
Park is the true luxury brand of smaller boutique properties.
Andaz is the young, fresh and design-led brand within Hyatt.
Regency is the business visitor oriented brand.
Grand as the name suggests are mostly large luxurious properties.
House and Place are mid-scale, limited service brands within Hyatt.
so Park and Andaz are really good properties?
Andaz is Hip, PH and GH are the most luxurious. But PH never (?) have a club
Usually they are, but I'm not a big fan of Andaz and like more the style of a Grand Hyatt or Park Hyatt.
IMHO, Park Hyatt Hamburg is the only one with a Club Lounge, they've a Club Floor which comes with Club benefits incl. free breakfast and cocktail hour.
Hyatt House is more of an extended stay brand.
I am asking because Andaz looks nice in Costa Rica. Dear mods Please feel free to move this to luxury hotels as I have some specific questions on luxury hotels
But a very nice extended stay brand. Most of them are relatively new construction, small kitchens and a reasonably good free breakfast in the AM.
You right, I have been to the PH Hamburg and used their lounge. Not that great though...
