Did KOA remove a nude-o-scope?

    I don't travel through the HA side as much as the UA side, and my senior mind must be getting fuzzy. Did the TSA remove the back-scatter machine from the HA side? Seems there was one, but the last time I went through (a couple days ago), it was gone (if it was ever there) and there didn't even look to be any room for one. If true, at least one reason to use HA.

    Yes, TSA finally relented and removed them from all airports a few months ago.

    No, they removed the back-scatter X-Ray machines. They still have the millimeter wave machines deployed. Maybe the machine on the HA side was a back-scatter, but that would be weird, because I recall that they got the two at the same time.

    Oh ok. I didn't have interest to learn the technology at that time. But I do recall that the currently allowed scanners were claimed to not provide a detailed nude image.
