Dallas/Fort Worth Airport said it expects to offer free Wi-Fi to passengers starting this fall.
Under its proposed contract with Wayport/AT&T Wi-Fi Services, passengers at DFW terminal would be able to get 40 minutes of free Wi-Fi access after watching a 30-second commercial.
The airport's concessions committee approved a seven-year contract with Wayport/AT&T to provide the service. The full board will vote on the contract on Thursday.
The board will receive $5.25 million from the agreement while AT&T will invest $4.5 million to install the Wi-Fi system. AT&T will also be the branded provider of the service.
