Lufthansa will change their fare structure for travel within Germany from April 1st, 2011.

You can find a graphic with a comparison of the old and new fare levels at

Here is a full overview of the changes that are coming:
    • The current 12 fare levels will be replaced by 17 fare levels
    • Especially the lower fare buckets in economy class will see a much better pricing structure. K/G/P class will become cheaper, and S/W/V class will now also be used for intra-German travel.
    • The business class fares in J/C class are also being lowered; additionally, a business class semiflex-fare in D class is being introduced
    • The existing E-class fare at 89 Euro (plus TSC) remains; for one-way travel, the new "entry level" is now 54 Euro (plus TSC)
    • One-Way fares will now be available across the entire intra-German fare structure
    • No more advance purchase or minimum stay restrictions in all classes except E-class (and select routes in D-class)
    • The various fares and booking classes will remain combinable

That also makes flights booked at last minute more affordable. Usually K is the cheapest fare that has availability on day of departure and this now gets about a third cheaper.
