Looking at this again, there`s less of a reason to fly F as C is going to be so good although the extra 10cm for someone like me (tall) is better but for short standard size Japanese person the length of C seat is fine i bet.

I guess now we know why they got rid of upgrade points! I bet they won`t be putting these new classes on any of the discounted upgrade to C routes. Although looks like it will only be for flights to Europe and US.

F looks similar to NH F. I don't quite understand the naming convention though. Why is F, the JAL Suite vs J, the JAL Sky Suite.

Actually the JAL Suite came out before ANA Square. The new JAL Suite just has a more luxurious finishing touch and basically is the same seat.

Because they want to stress the part that the new C seats are suites! They want to create a personal space that's private and luxurious for the C passengers. In fact they are the modified version of Super First Class seats from B/E

Does look good. Only hope the reduced capacity doesn't make it impossible to get a seat. Been close to capacity the last few times i flew C LHR NRT.

    Ah, I like Lucky:

"The one thing that leaves me scratching my head is the name of their new catering program, JAL BEDD. As the press release states:
A dream team of four Japanese star chefs were brought together to design JAL’s First and Business Class menus using only the freshest and finest-ingredients. Named JAL BEDD to represent the comforts of the full flat beds and also to stand for ‘Dine’, ‘Delicious’ and ‘Dreams’, this new top-class service in First and Business offers the unique experience of a satisfying repast and repose in-flight.
That doesn’t make sense on so many levels that it’s almost funny."

But not unusual that they would come up with an acronym like that ! And it is just not the Japanese advertising/marketing folks that do this. Look no further than Asiana with their quadra smartium seats :p !
